The mission of the Delaware State University 's Research Division is to provide to those
individuals who are admitted to the University quality research opportunities and experiences
that are consistent with the overall University Commitment.The Division will also create a system
of infrastructures that will support a learning environment conducive to engaging faculty and
students alike in research that will produce competent leaders who will positively impact
Delaware State University 's local, national, and international communities.

The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) seeks to facilitate and support the
university community in all areas of sponsored research. OVPR is also responsible for supporting
intellectual property, technology transfer and economic development activities at the University.
The office serves as a portal for external entities to interface with the University in matters
that relate to its research mission.
